Ametrine
Ametrine is a gemstone from the Quartz family that is known for its’ bi-color shades of purple and yellow to yellow-orange. Also known as Bolivianite or Trystine, it is a mixture of Amethyst & Citrine.

Ametrine Rough
Natural Ametrine is formed deep in the earth when there is a temperature difference across the crystal. Lower priced synthetic Ametrine is usually created by heat treating Amethyst.
Ametrine deposits are located in Bolivia, which is the largest producer of Ametrine, and in Brazil.
It is said that Ametrine reduces stress and enhances thought processes.
